It was May 2, 2011, when President Barack Obama announced that the 9/11 attack mastermind, Osama Bin Laden was killed in a successful operation conducted by the US in Pakistan. That announcement definitely made US citizens proud and elevated the US’s position on the global stage.

Today, after 14 years, the US is once again dominating the globe with its goodwill, silencing critics who said a peace deal between Israel and Hamas was unlikely under Trump.

Whereas the Leftists and pro-Palestinian supporters continued to blame the US behind the Gaza war, it was US President Donald Trump who took the charge and made the peace agreement a reality. 

During the two-year long war in Gaza, many countries’ leaders talked about the situation, but no one could solve the problem. But today no one can deny, it was only President Trump’s leadership that brought Israel and Hamas to the negotiation table.

Trump is not waiting for the ceasefire, but with a true world leader’s face, he is traveling to Egypt to attend the cease fire agreement event. 

President Trump, the architect of the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, ending the war in Gaza, has told the media on Thursday that he would remain present in Egypt as the hostages are returning home by Monday or Tuesday. 

As the US proved its global leadership by making an almost impossible peace agreement between Israel and Hamas possible after both the parties agreed to the peace deal points proposed by US President Donald Trump, he took a jibe at the critics on Thursday. 

“Last night we reached a momentous breakthrough in the Middle East,” said President Trump at his cabinet meeting. “Something someone said, never going to be done.”

“We ended the war in Gaza,” said Trump after the US resolved a complicated 2-Year conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“It will be a day of joy ! We are going to try to get over there. We are working on timing. We are going to go to Egypt,” said Trump. 

Trump further thanked countries that helped during the negotiation process. 

Significance of the successful ceasefire

US did it alone!

Even though the UN is considered to play the key role here, it was only the US who played the role. Also with an unusual gesture Trump took help from Arab and Muslim countries, for talking to Hamas leaders in this negotiation. On the other hand, this diplomatic move also has strengthened the relation between US and Arab countries in an unusual manner. 

US never sympathized Hamas

The US continued to keep its stance clear about Hamas. The designated terrorist organization was never sympathized and US leaders continued saying it was Hamas who started the war by killing innocents on October 7, 2023. Marco Rubio’s recent visit to Jerusalem which happened before the Trump and Netanyahu meeting at White House also ensured that the hostages’ lives come first for the US and Israel has US’s full support on that. So, agreement between Hamas and Israel can never be labeled as compromise with the terror organization as Hamas’s disarmament is one of the agreement points.

US’s position at global stage 

From around the world, various countries’ leaders have congratulated President Trump for his successful attempt in the negotiation. Now the world knows, Trump’s attempt was a major success even though it looked almost impossible. 

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the agreement, praising the diplomatic efforts of the US, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey in brokering the ceasefire. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also congratulated Trump on the announcement, welcoming the peace plan and its potential to bring peace to Gaza. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed relief and hoped that the agreement would bring an end to the suffering in Gaza. 

I am not an American. I am an Indian and as an Indian I am so glad that my country’s Prime Minister also recognized Trump’s leadership and posted on X, “Spoke to my friend, President Trump and congratulated him on the success of the historic Gaza peace plan.” In another tweet he posted, “Called my friend, Prime Minister Netanyahu, to congratulate him on the progress made under President Trump’s Gaza peace plan.”

“After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families; and that vital aid can start reaching those inside Gaza whose lives have been shattered. More than that, though, it now falls on Israelis and Palestinians, with the support of the U.S. and the entire world community, to begin the hard task of rebuilding Gaza – and to commit to a process that, by recognizing the common humanity and basic rights of both peoples, can achieve a lasting peace,” after the ceasefire deal confirmed, Obama posted on X.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu backed the Nobel Prize for President Trump, and I don’t find any point to disagree with Netanyahu.
