Is baseline level faith undermining America? Individuals who engage minimally with their religion’s ideology and practices can be described as having a baseline level of faith. When faith remains at this superficial level, it often manifests in various ways. In the United States, the catalyst for the Make America Great Again movement was primarily Christians. It can be argued that the baseline faith of these Christians led them to express their beliefs through political animosity rather than genuine devotion. The crucial question now is whether we can reverse the politicization of religion that breeds hatred and encourage individuals within religious communities to shift their perspective on faith toward supportive and moral legislative proposals, all without adopting an aggressive stance.
