At the beginning of the year, the Trump Administration shocked the nation by capturing Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Within a week, America’s attention moved on to the ICE shootings and protests in Minneapolis. But that event also passed the news cycle and did not create nearly as much protest as prior police killings have. Now, we have the Iran War, and only time will tell if it will leave any lasting impression in the United States. With the news moving so rapidly, people have become desensitized to extremely pivotal events.
