During the elections on Tuesday, November 4th, California voters decided to approve Proposition 50 (Prop 50 for short) to allow for the redrawing of congressional maps to favor Democrats in five districts represented by Republicans. In September 2025, the City of Wilmington, North Carolina, announced two removed monuments to the Confederacy would be reinstated in the Summer of 2026.
