2025 Election Results

The win of Zohran Mamdani for mayor-elect of New York City was an incredible moment for people everywhere on the night of November 4th. This is a win for people of color, immigrants, and anyone who believes in democracy and is praying for change. Mamdani is restoring faith to those who have lost it over the last decade, as Trump has been the face of our nation. Having someone with leftist and socialist views become the mayor of New York City is like a breath of fresh air. America is a melting pot of diversity, and being an American means that somewhere along the line, our ancestors decided to leave their country in search of something better. To see an American citizen such as Mamdani, who was born to Indian parents in Uganda, is something our nation needs to see. It is not just Mamdani’s background but also his intelligence and passionate energy that are giving people hope. Prioritizing care at the individual and family level is something our country has lost sight of. In an age where participation often feels futile, this election proves that people will continue to exercise their right to vote in support of what they believe is right.

– Nora Rowser

The recent election results are certainly disappointing for Republicans and conservatives. Jay Jones winning the Virginia race despite disturbing texts fantasizing about shooting then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert and his children. Mikie Sherrill winning New Jersey despite her academic cheating scandal, missing more House votes than any other Congressional member, and voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill, which eliminated tax on tips, Social Security, and overtime. And the democratic-socialist, Zohran Mamdani, winning New York City despite his economically illiterate policies. These wins for Democrats are a massive blow to the conservative movement and go to show how strong a chokehold the left still has over liberal and Democratic states.
