Jacob Wenske, a 26-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, was arrested early Thursday after allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk prior to her Turning Point USA event next week. Wenske made multiple online posts alluding to violence, such as replying to a post from Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit by writing, “I know exactly where to bomb.” In another post, he wrote, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort.” Additionally, a message in Wenske’s email read, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event.” Wenske currently faces two felony charges of causing public fear through terroristic threats, with his bond set at $120,000. This behavior is entirely unacceptable and reprehensible in every way. Threatening or enacting violence against a group for diversity of opinion is entirely wrong and should not be allowed to continue. Behavior like this is why so many people live in fear, and is why America has become so divided. It needs to stop.
