Outgoing Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard was once a prominent member of the Democratic Party. She fiercely defended Bernie Sanders during his 2016 campaign, ran on a progressive platform in 2020 and served as the representative for Hawaii’s second congressional district. But in 2022, she declared her exit from the Democratic party due to its abandoning of liberal values, attacks on free speech, wokeness, and her characterization of the organization as a bunch of hawkish warmongerers on foreign policy. Since then, she has campaigned for numerous political candidates endorsed by Trump, culminating in her joining the GOP during his 2024 campaign for re-election. She joined his cabinet during his second presidency. Towards the end of her time as DNI, she uncovered the role that President Biden’s former Chief Medical Advisor, Anthony Fauci,  had in the massive coverup during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For a while, the hypothesis that Covid-19 originated in a Wuhan Lab was dismissed as a fringe conspiracy theory by the Democrats. But Gabbard’s investigation suggests otherwise. Fauci used millions of dollars assigned to him from the federal government in order to conduct gain-of-function research in Wuhan. Gabbard reports that Fauci allocated the funds to a study on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). Even in 2021, it was known that the NIH had funded research on bat coronaviruses in 2014 to be conducted by EcoHealth Alliance, Inc., which subcontracted the WIV for the experiments. Fauci’s own testimony at the time contradicted many statements he had made beforehand, but the Biden administration did not care to investigate the matter further. In his 2024 testimony, Fauci even admitted that he did not have hard scientific evidence in favor of mask mandates and social distancing measures that were enforced in a draconian manner around the country. If his advice on public health policy was unreliable, then so was his actions as the manager of research grant funds. 

According to multiple senators, Fauci tried to cover up his actions by destroying records and documents, and repeated his lies at every hearing in congress.Due to the Biden administration issuing him a full pardon in its final days, Trump was left with virtually no possibility of prosecuting him, but nevertheless launched an investigation based on Fauci’s suspicious actions. The investigations have resulted in the indictment of conspiracy on one of Fauci’s advisors, who misused his private email account to hide information from the NIH. Also, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has continued to shed light on evidence against the lockdowns and vaccine mandates that resulted from the tyranny of the Covid-19 pandemic response, which only raises more questions into fraud conducted by Fauci, a fierce advocate for these measures.
