CPAC 2024: A Hallmark Moment in Western History

The 50th annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was recently held in Maryland. Each year, the conference brings together many prominent Conservative officials and activists from across the United States and beyond to discuss the most pressing issues in the conservative realm.

Notable speakers such as Javier Milei of Argentina, Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, former U.S. president Donald Trump, the young and dynamic Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Arizona senate candidate Kari Lake all gave their take on the state of the global conservative movement that has been gaining momentum in recent years.

Among the main themes discussed were the inherent dangers of socialism, with speakers urging caution as a countermeasure to the “siren’s call” (as Argentinian President Javier Milei put it) of social justice, “progress,” and seemingly noble virtues. Perhaps the most pressing issue for American conservatives this year is the importance of securing the nation’s border, a topic that former U.S. President Donald Trump especially highlighted. Speakers also cautioned against the all-encompassing arm of globalism that seeks to stifle and root out nationalist sentiments among sovereign states around the globe, replacing unique national identities with the gray uniformity of socialism.

The sentiments expressed at CPAC 2024 are the popular and natural manifestation of public frustration with the global left-wing mandate. The decline into disorder of both the United States and the Western world at large, under the guidance of an ever-expanding left-wing revolutionary bureaucracy that is steeped in the harmful mandate of Cultural Marxism, has rallied sensible, working-class people from all over the globe to the new conservative cause. The destruction of the nuclear family, the forceable policing and uniformity of speech under left-wing guidelines, the undermining of America’s original and traditional moral fabric, and the constant chastising of America’s history of excellence by left-wing criticism have prompted a public backlash of huge proportions.

Every day, more and more Americans are taking a stand against the destruction of their way of life, moral fabric and the traditional values that have kept this country strong and unified for nearly 250 years. Americans, despite the ever-meddling hands of international interest groups, refuse to castrate themselves on the altar of “progress.” The intentional destruction of the American identity as it has been known up until now and its replacement with a patchwork of fragmented identities that harbor hostility towards one another weakens our nation, making it vulnerable to harmful interests both foreign and domestic.

This year’s CPAC will be looked back on as a turning point in Western history. The global political climate is shifting; 2024 could very well pan out as a historic moment for the global forces of conservatism. The last 79 years since the end of World War II have seen the unprecedented dominance of left-wing political thought. History tends to undergo radical shifts in roughly 80-year cycles. The collapse of the current world order characterized by liberalism and globalism is happening at a break-neck pace, giving rise to a new order from the ashes.
