1. State Of The Union recap – The Daily Show

In their thorough recap of the President’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, Feb 24, “The Daily Show”’s Desi Lydic makes fun of Trump for saying how great the country is doing now, before he describes in visceral detail all the injuries that people have suffered in recent tragedies. Live correspondent Troy Iwata complains that while the president used a large portion of the speech to give out medals, Troy wanted one too. Troy complained that if Trump was “giving awards to a woman for her good parallel parking,” he could get one too.

2. State Of The Union on Prescription Drugs- Late Show With Stephen Colbert

In this “Late Show” clip, Colbert makes fun of the President’s casual language while discussing lowering prescription drug costs, while claiming other presidents never tried to. And when the president mentions that he took prescription drugs, Colbert insists the president needs to take more.

3. Congress Shocked By State Of The Union From President Who Can Talk – The Babylon Bee

The Babylon Bee took a decidedly more positive take on the speech, implying that President Trump’s speech is a welcome reprieve from more incoherent speeches from Joe Biden. The article also implies that Trump had less cocaine in his system than Biden did, which is an original take but kind of slanderous. Bonus points for the casual cameo from Senator Tim Scott in the article, not making fun of the Floridian at all.

4. Trump’s Executive Orders Before SOTU 2026 – Humor Times

In this dark piece of satire from The Humor Times, President Trump announces a series of executive orders he signed before his State of the Union address, such as an order making America a fascist Caucasian state. In this piece Trump’s anger is consistently severe, such as his cost-cutting maneuver of preventing former President Biden from receiving cancer treatment. There are a few lighthearted jokes in the piece, like Trump giving himself every available award, including first prize in the Kentucky Derby and MLB’s Cy Young Award.

5.  Trump Invites Caucasian Half Of Alysa Liu To White House – The Onion

In this brief headline-captioned photo from The Onion, the dual image of President Trump for some Americans is made clear. On the one hand, he’s proud of an American for winning a gold medal. On the other hand, according to his critics, he is uncomfortable with people of other races. A good discussion starter for such a short Onion joke.
