Pro-Palestinian Green Party Candidate’s Anti-Israel Agenda Fuels Senate Hearing Stunt

In a brazen display of anti-Israel activism, Brian McGinnis, a former U.S. Marine and Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, disrupted a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on March 4, 2026, by chanting that the United States would not fight for Israel.

McGinnis, an Iraq War veteran who served from 2000 to 2004, stood up during the proceedings and shouted slogans such as “No one wants to fight for Israel” and “America does not want to fight this war for Israel,” framing U.S. support for its key Middle East ally as an unwarranted escalation toward conflict with Iran. The outburst, captured on video, shows Capitol Police forcibly removing him from the room, with reports indicating his arm was injured in the process.

The video quickly went viral, providing ammunition for anti-American and anti-Israel forces worldwide. Propagated across social media platforms, it was seized upon by critics to falsely portray widespread dissent among U.S. citizens and military personnel against America’s longstanding alliance with Israel. The underlying message peddled by these groups—that Israel would not reciprocate in defending the U.S.—ignores the reality of Israel’s role as a bulwark against shared threats in the region. However, social media users swiftly exposed McGinnis’s background, revealing him not as a representative voice of the military but as a dedicated pro-Palestinian activist with ties to extremist views.

Contrary to initial impressions, McGinnis is an ex-Marine who has frequently appeared on TikTok in military attire to solicit donations for Palestinian causes. His activism extends further: he participated in a 2024 aid flotilla to Gaza and has been described as a pro-Hamas advocate, sharing antisemitic content and downplaying the horrors of the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas, which he has claimed were exaggerated in media reports. In one instance, McGinnis reportedly congratulated Hamas following a ceasefire agreement, further aligning himself with groups hostile to U.S. interests.

Married to a woman of Palestinian descent, his personal connections appear to drive his agenda, which critics argue borders on anti-American sentiment. As a Green Party candidate, McGinnis embodies the far-left fringe, where anti-Israel rhetoric often merges with broader anti-Western narratives.

This incident exemplifies how leftist propaganda is planted and circulated globally to undermine U.S. resolve and defame its foreign policy. By using platforms like TikTok and X, activists like McGinnis amplify messages that embolden adversaries and sow division at home. It’s a tactic straight from the playbook of radical elements seeking to erode America’s global leadership.

The new generation must step forward to counter this by educating themselves on U.S. history and identifying common enemies. America’s alliance with Israel is not a one-way street but a strategic partnership against terrorism, rooted in shared values and mutual defense. Recently, pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia University echoed “Death to America” chants, mirroring the rhetoric of leftist and terrorist organizations worldwide.

Iran, a regime that has long vowed “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” fuels proxy terrorists across the Middle East, including Hamas and Hezbollah. A nuclear-armed Iran would not only threaten the tiny nation of Israel but also endanger all U.S. allies in the region, from Saudi Arabia to Jordan. This is no mere regional skirmish—it’s a broader war against terrorism, where failing to support Israel means ceding ground to those who seek America’s downfall.

As evidenced by Iran’s ballistic missile programs and uranium enrichment activities, the threat is real and escalating. Standing firm with Israel is essential to preserving global stability and American security.
