1. Political Humor At The Academy Awards – Politico

During 2026’s biggest entertainment awards night, celebrities wearing pins and adding to their speeches pleas to end wars in Iran and Israel were offset by late-night-style jokes from the host and presenters. Host Conan O’Brien alluded to this year’s alternate Super Bowl halftime show, saying that Kid Rock was hosting an alternate Oscars at a local Dave and Busters. Presenter Jimmy Kimmel said that Donald Trump was going to be upset that “Melania” wasn’t nominated for Best Documentary – Feature.

2. Trump’s Gas Prices Cold Open – Saturday Night Live

James Austin Johnson’s Trump interrupts melodrama about gas prices to suggest the issue was caused by the Epstein files, frantically adding a qualifying, “kidding, but maybe not.” A casual mention of booze randomly summons Colin Jost’s secretary of defense, Pete Hegseth, from a nearby car full of empties. Trump wanders around the set while Hegseth insists the war in Iran is already over, and people should stop asking him about it.

3. Iran Update: Current Tax Dollars Currently Beating Tax Dollars From Three Years Ago – The Babylon Bee

The Babylon Bee cleverly points out the complicated nature of the U.S.’s financial involvement in the Middle East, as the current military budget being spent to wage war in Iran is defeating financial investments from three years ago. It’s a funny extension of the metaphor to hear military experts describing the advancement of money instead of troops in the region. The scope of U.S. dollars is hinted at in the article’s ending, as the government plans to bomb old tax dollars in Afghanistan as well.

4. FBI Watches Kash Patel Get Beaten Up By UFC Fighter – The Onion

The Onion directly pokes fun at Kash Patel and the Trump administration’s “tough guy” image, as Patel’s attempt to train with a UFC fighter leads to him getting brutalized in an octagon. Patel tries to educate his fellow FBI members by describing the triangle choke he is in, but he passes out. And the only reaction the FBI onlookers have is awkward silence.

5. Donald Trump Discusses His Intelligent Gut and Bones – The Humor Times

In this satirical profile, President Trump offers his version of an old cliche, stating he listens to his gut and feels things in his bones. But his bodily decisions have a negative tinge to them, such as his gut telling him during a test that he should cheat. Or feeling in his bones that he should divorce his first wife, Ivana, coincidentally after he got his second wife, Marla Maples, pregnant.
