What are Kids Watching?

Watching livestreams has become an extremely popular pastime, allowing people to enjoy things like sports and gaming while connecting with content creators in real-time. However, popular streamers often do things like harass people on camera, debase women and show explicit content. Popular streamer Rakai, who is a 17-year-old, did a stream where he “had a house full of baddies for his birthday.” Other streamers film themselves wandering around clubs for hours. Many young people are consuming this type of low-quality content for hours on end and also seek to emulate the unsavory behaviors they see. It is unfortunate to see how the entertainment and role models available to young people—especially young men—have declined so much.
