Humans are So Incredibly Flawed

All people are sinners and have their flaws.  One that particularly rankles me is hypocrisy.  When Biden was president, the MAGA crowd went nuts going on and on about Hunter Biden, the laptop, the corruption, the connection to Burisma, the Ukrainian oil company.

I thought Biden’s critics made an excellent point and was amazed the way Democrats seemed to dismiss all this, as if it didn’t matter — or maybe even never happened.  The Democratic circled the wagons around Joe.

Now that we’re back in Trump 2.0, his kids are getting rich doing crypto deals — (foreign powers or wealthy individuals get favorable treatment — or pardons, even) — but they need to invest in the crypto fund first.

Jared Kushner is a White House emissary to the Middle East and is said to be asking for $5 billion in investments from foreign funds that will go into his private fund.  Hmm. Sure seems like a conflict of interest.

The list of money-related accusations directed at Team Trump goes on and on, and 99% of Republicans say nothing.  It’s all pretty disgusting, really.  I’m sure I’ve said or done a few hypocritical things in my life.  Nobody’s perfect.

In an attempt to become a little less imperfect, a few months ago I registered as an Independent.  I feel so much better to not have to defend what “my” party is doing.  Both parties need to wake up and change course.
