Gen Z Asks: Why Should We Fight?

Gen Z is up in arms about potentially being drafted into WW3. Although war has not been declared yet, many Gen Zers have expressed their immense displeasure with the prospect of being conscripted. The realistic chances of a draft are pretty low; however, the younger generation seems to have no interest in going to war, and it is hard to blame them. Young people are struggling to find jobs, afford homes or start families. They don’t see the point in fighting for a nation that has given them no hope. Some have even claimed online that they would rather be arrested than fight. If possible, America should seek a peaceful exit out of the current conflict with Iran, as President Trump was elected on a promise of abstaining from endless, foreign wars. All that Americans can hope for is that their sons and daughters will not be sent off to fight in another endless war.
