The Anti-Motherhood Narrative

In recent years, two sides have emerged on the topic of abortion: pro-choice and pro-life, both groups often expressing disdain for one another’s positions. Regardless of individual opinions on the legal aspects, this debate raises important questions about women’s natural inclination to nurture children and the growing aversion to motherhood among young women.

Many voices on the internet who later express an emotional attachment to their aborted children highlight a significant point: while motherhood has become less valued and even viewed as unnatural for Gen-Z women, it remains one of the most fundamental aspects of femininity. This situation also prompts the question of why contemporary politics has misleadingly framed it as “feminist” to reject motherhood and to dislike children, neglecting the profound psychological benefits that motherhood can offer women.

Is it truly pro-women to disconnect from our biological roots and alienate ourselves from natural processes? Ultimately, this discussion suggests that movements claiming to empower women may inadvertently diminish their sense of wholeness and identity.
