Have you ever been in a conversation and heard someone say that America is a“Christian country”? This statement seems to be surfacing frequently in political conversation in recent years. Without a doubt, it is a controversial statement, but whether it is true brings further questioning. While it is known we have no national religion, the roots of the idea that America is a Christian country mainly take note of the historical components leading to America’s founding. Nevertheless, this idea and the results of the debate surrounding it have the potential to redefine American politics. Hence, the public should be educated…

Recently, anti-male hate has been mistaken for female advocacy. The concept of “angry feminism” has surfaced among younger women as a tool for their empowerment. However, this backfires as it does not actually promote gender equity. Living a life dedicated to putting down the opposite gender is oppressive, regardless of which gender is targeted. Overall, it is an unproductive strategy. Will hating men make them respect women more? We can better promote gender equity by teaching men in our lives to properly respect women, correct bad behaviors and resist gender biases. Also, more women should become “women’s advocates” by ending…
Recently, the American public appears more burnt out than usual regarding daily endeavors such as work or school. As of February 16th, 2026, Gallup (A noteworthy public opinion statistical organization) tracks only 28% of workers to be thriving, 12% suffering, and the vast majority struggling with burnout (https://www.gallup.com/394505/indicator-life-evaluation-index.aspx). This could be interpreted in various ways. Firstly, it could mean that the majority of workers simply do not enjoy their workplace – either due to poor management, or dramatic experiences with co-workers, etc. Secondly, it could also mean that the average worker has so much struggle in their personal life that…
Since the sexual liberation movement in the sixties and seventies, female fashion trends in America have largely been shaped by the ideology that low-coverage clothing provides women with confidence and maturity. Today, however, many traditionalist women including Christian and Muslim women have been dedicating their time to promoting the idea that the sexual liberation movement is no less oppressive than those which came before. Individuals are starting to question the morality behind disguising the sexualized marketing of the female body as “freedom” for women, who now face the issue of objectification, with a thin line being drawn between appropriate wear,…
The rise of rhetorical media poses a significant challenge to American politics. By focusing on rhetoric instead of logical reasoning, many Americans are being unwittingly pushed toward extremism. Rhetorical arguments from both the far left and the far right demoralize the opposing side and contribute to social division among political parties, affecting interactions in both personal and professional settings. For example, in discussions about abortion, many pro-choice advocates perceive those who oppose abortion as demeaning to women, rather than trying to understand their perspective. This is just one example; still, it illustrates that the issue of rhetorical media affects both…
Poverty has always been an issue that has plagued youth in a different way than adults, but today it is becoming even more of a differentiating factor in schools and homes. Of course, children struggling with poverty in the past faced negative social treatment and issues with physical prosperity. However, today, in a more technologically advanced world, new problems are emerging. Technology presents accessibility challenges for those unable to afford it, and advancements in legal regulations pose additional difficulties for those who cannot keep pace with them. This article will examine how poverty disproportionately affects children. First, in 2018, it…
Recently, the issue of protesting in churches arose after anti-ICE campaigners interrupted a service where the pastor was an immigration agent. This has not been an issue for some time, but it is now resurfacing. Previously, major instances of church-based protest include an AIDS protest against the Catholic Church in 1989, other, more finance-related protests in the 1980s, and civil rights protests in the 1960s. Generally, people have respected churches as a buffer zone from protest and politics, but as American populations become more divided over religion, this idea is losing acceptance. This article will discuss how divisions in religion…
In recent years, it has been increasingly normalized to be labeled as a “conservative.” However, with that normalization came a change in the definition of the term itself. “Conservative” many years ago would mean preserving the family, promoting religious values and maintaining a worldview immersed in neighborly attitudes. To the contrary, “conservative” political leaders today hold a lot of wealth, promote capitalistic imbalances between the rich and poor and often don’t have traditional-looking family units or religious practices. This article will explore how one view of traditionalism became another through polarized politics. Firstly, it’s important to note that conservatism’s rebranding…
As a society, we consistently question dilemmas like phone addiction and extremist media. But have you ever thought that the issue might be where our nation’s youth are growing their minds? Today, more than ever, college campuses are becoming a breeding ground for political polarization. This article will discuss just that, exploring the central reasons as to why college students are largely susceptible to mental distress due to a lack of political tolerance on campus. In a culture where agreement with LGBTQ+, drugs and alcohol, and hyper independence become normalized, this becomes an issue for anyone whose personal beliefs counteract…
Traditional religion’s decline in America has caused more issues than simply a lack of stability. Religious literacy being at a decline has caused both religious and non-religious individuals to act in a polarized manner regarding various faiths. Those on the religious side in major religions, such as Christianity, often ignore basic morals or habits of their faith to participate in today’s modernized political system. Those on the non-religious side wrongly accuse those on the religious side who actively follow their faith’s values of being discriminatory, cruel, or outdated due to their lack of literacy regarding the core texts of various…
