Teachers’ Unions frequently argue that their member teachers are underpaid and overworked, but this is just code for their desire to avoid accountability instead of focusing on success for their students. Progressive states whose school districts have caved into the unions’ demands have regularly seen worsened literacy performance among their students, and this is largely due to tenure or seniority rules that make firing incompetent teachers a bureaucratic nightmare. And these unions use millions of dollars from their donations each year to fund Democratic Party candidates that are keen to continue fulfilling their demands for left-wing indoctrination of our youth. There is no greater bullying in our classrooms than these unions’ diversion from meritocracy, which wastes fortunes of taxpayer funds on systems that fail our students.

Teachers are notoriously considered one of the most underpaid occupations, often having to buy their own supplies with their own money. Their union fees come straight out of their already low salary and just because that salary is tax-payer funded does not mean the teacher has ill intent. Teacher unions are vital to the operations of public schooling, allowing these underpaid and undersized teachers access to healthcare, a max on class sizes, and safe working conditions. Teachers are a backbone of our society and without them education would not exist. So yes the Teacher Unions are not all altruistic, but the reality is that they are a necessity for public education to continue. I also think that they probably support left-wing politicians because it is those politicians that support and increase funding for public education, which is notably underfunded.
Wow! That is something I have never heard of, and it should be talked about more, since schools should be spaces of neutral beliefs while allowing children to decide what they believe. This is a topic you should write a full piece on, because I want to know more about how unions are accomplishing these feats. Moreover, I am glad that you drew attention to this type of activity.
